I have been writing about financially savvy travel since 2015. At the time, I desperately wanted to explore the world, but financially it felt out of reach.

With $63,000 of student loan debt, I also had aspirations of becoming debt free and purchasing a home.

Despite the naysayers and occasional self-doubt, I leaned into my creativity, built up my financial know-how, and manifested new opportunities, documenting my journey extensively on my blog, The Thought Card.

Over the last eight years, something magical happened; I became a financially savvy traveler.

In anticipation of my newest book, “We Are Financially Savvy Travelers,” I’ll share the mindset of financially savvy travelers, a new breed of world explorers who value quality travel experiences and mindful spending without negatively impacting our finances.
